Here at The Cosy Stove Company we have been lucky in the last few years to have worked with some commercial businesses. Below you will find some commercial projects we have worked on. If you are from a business we are keen to hear from you. Please use our contact page to get in touch and to discuss your requirements.

Craddocks Brewery - The Talbot Droitwich

Working on behalf of Craddocks Brewery we have recently completed a project in The Talbot Droitwich a grade 2 listed building dating back to approximately the 1700s. The main chimney in the front bar was first on the agenda. To our horror we exposed a series of structural timber beams within the flue way that had been there since the pub was built. There was also a huge structural defect in the one side of the chimney. Working closely with English heritage and a structural engineer we were granted permission to remove the beams and rebuilt the defect within the chimney to make it safe again. All this was done by one of our accredited installers Doug from Heatash.

A herringbone hearth was in keeping with the pub and using steel Doug created a robust chamber for the stove to sit in to stand the test of the time and the hard use of a commercial property. A Woodwarm Fireview 6kW multi fuel stove was then installed with the help of Red spider hire for the chimney access.

The second fireplace in the back bar was a little more straight forward and involved removal of an old cast iron fireplace. A new brick pedestal and quarry tile hearth was created and Doug fitted a Woodwarm Fireview 9kW multi fuel stove.

All of the renovation was done whilst the pub was still open and did not effect business. We did each bar separately ensuring the areas were sheeted and dust kept to a minimum. Dust extraction systems were used to minimise the dust.

Bathams Brewery - The Plough & Harrow Kinver

We were contacted by Bathams brewery about re instating two fireplaces in The Plough & Harrow in Kinver during a refit, we gladly accepted the challenge. Discussing the projects we quickly learned that Bathams were keen to support British industry and use British manufactured products, we happily pointed them towards our British made Charnwood stoves.

We started by removing two dated gas fireplaces and opened both chimneys back to the builders openings. The front bar we installed an Indian grey sandstone hearth and a british Charnwood C5 in multi fuel.

The rear bar fireplace was a lot smaller. We reinstated some of the loose quarry tiles and formed the new quarry tiled rear hearth from the knockout. The chimney stack outside was overgrown with Ivy and in a bit of a poor state. We cleaned that all off before lining and fitting a Charnwood C4 wood burning stove in multi fuel.
